Looking back at life on Earth, here's a good overview:
How did life on earth evolve?

Idaho - creatures from the past.
Looking not so far back, it wasn't that long ago that these played a vital role in the world around us.
Not that many years ago, if a part broke down in your car, radio, washing machine, dishwasher, or other house equipment, it was easy for a mechanic to find the defective part, and replace it. Many times now, if something breaks down, a whole printed circuit board needs to be replaced. Plus, the ability of a person to troubleshoot and fix something gets more difficult as things become more complex.
As products became more complex, the ability of the average person to be part of the repair process dropped. Hence fewer and fewer people had the ability to be part of the repair process.
Part of the process was due to economics. The corner grocery store or gas station became memories of the past. The number of refineries dropped from many to almost none. As in many other areas, the need for the middle class dropped, as did the jobs open to them. Control of the wealth shifted toward those with wealth. Money meant control of the means of production. That control made them wealthier.
Small independent grocers have closed while large chains have expanded. Thousands of retail stores have vanished across the country.

The below posting on X raises a lot of questions.
It touches on one central to our country.
The two party system. Are we heading toward a one-party system?
Pentagon fires top Stars and Stripes leaders!
One more step toward one-party rule?
Wake up people, to the crap that comes from the very top and on down!
There’s one word that describes Trump’s attacks on journalists
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
—Martin Niem (a prominent German pastor Martin Niemöller)
