(B) It's a number of different writers views about events.

For example, 1 Kings 7:23 talks about a bowl ten cubits in diameter, a height of five cubits, and a circumference of thirty cubits.

That would make Pi to be exactly 3, not 3.14... So it's important to keep the readings in context of the times.
